How to create an invoice in under a minute
- 1. Add both sides. Your business name and details, then who you're billing. Include tax IDs if your country requires them.
- 2. Number and date it. Sequential invoice numbers (INV-001, INV-002) keep your bookkeeping clean, and a clear due date keeps payment expectations obvious.
- 3. List the work. One line per deliverable with quantity and rate. Specific descriptions cause fewer payment disputes than "consulting".
- 4. Add tax, discounts, payment details. Tell people exactly how to pay you — bank details, UPI, or a payment link in the notes.
- 5. Name the file and download. Something like acme-inv-001 makes it easy for your client's finance team to find later.
