Legal
Terms of Service
Last updated: 11 August 2026
These terms apply to holdmycoffee.fyi and to any work you engage Hold My Coffee (operated by Shashank Imarati) to do. By using the site you accept them. If we sign a separate proposal or statement of work, that document wins wherever the two disagree.
Using the site and free tools
Our free tools, including the invoice generator, are provided as is for your own business use. You are responsible for the accuracy of anything you enter and for whether the output meets the legal, tax and invoicing rules in your country. Do not use the site to break the law, scrape it at scale, or attempt to disrupt it.
Quotes and scope
We quote a flat fee based on a scope we agree in writing before work starts. That fee covers the scope described and the revision rounds stated in the quote. New features, new screens or a change of direction are a change of scope and are quoted separately.
Payment
- Projects begin after the deposit stated in the quote is paid, typically 50%.
- The balance is due on delivery, before final handover of accounts and source code.
- Invoices are payable within 7 days unless the quote says otherwise.
- Third party costs such as hosting, domains, app store fees and paid APIs are yours and are not included in the quoted fee.
Your responsibilities
Timelines assume you supply content, brand assets, access and feedback promptly. If material is delayed, the delivery date moves by a similar amount. You confirm you have the right to use every logo, image, text and dataset you give us.
Ownership
Once the final invoice is paid, you own the deliverables in full: the source code, the accounts and the assets we produced for you. Before then, we retain ownership. We keep ownership of our own reusable tooling, boilerplate and know-how, and grant you a perpetual licence to use it as part of your project. Third party and open source components stay under their own licences.
Portfolio
We may show finished work and your public brand name in our portfolio and on social media. Tell us before delivery and we will keep your project private.
Revisions and acceptance
You have 14 days from delivery to report anything that does not match the agreed scope, and we will fix it at no cost. After that, further changes are billed as new work or covered by a support arrangement.
Warranty and support
We fix defects in our own code free of charge for 30 days after delivery. That does not cover changes you or another developer make, failures of third party services, or new feature requests. Ongoing maintenance can be arranged separately.
AI generated components
We use AI tooling as part of how we build. Everything shipped is reviewed and tested by a human. Where a product includes AI features, model output can be wrong, and you are responsible for reviewing it before relying on it with your own users.
Cancellation
Either side can end a project in writing. You pay for work completed up to that point, and deposits already covering completed work are non refundable. We will hand over whatever has been finished.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any project is limited to the fees you paid us for that project, and we are not liable for lost profit, lost revenue or lost data. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Confidentiality
Both sides keep the other's non public information confidential and use it only to deliver the project.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published here on the date your project starts.
